Going green: Green people age defy DD cream

green people dd cream
So since I became a mother it became apparent that I needed to also start becoming a real adult. I've managed to tick a few things off my list; marriage, mortgage, bills...minor stuff you know, but I still have one big thing I need to master. My skincare regime.

Long gone are the days when I can just wet wipe my face and quickly apply mascara, now I have things called bags and lines, some of you may not be familiar with them yet, but trust me, one day, you will (they get us all). I realised that in order not to scare small children, and in fact my own reflection I should start doing something about it. In turn I hope that if I finally start looking after my skin now properly, it will somehow repay me in the future, that's how it works right?

So now toners, cleansers, face masks, moisturisers, primer, foundation, serums and various eye creams have made their way into my cosmetics, and while I have a vague idea of their uses I am in no way an expert!

So when I was contacted by Green people to try their new DD cream (I've only just got my head around bb and cc cream!) I was intrigued to say the least.

Now my skin doesn't like having make up on everyday, and I do try not to wear it when I know I'm going to be in for most of the day, but up until recently I have only really used foundation and concealer for coverage and whilst good I find it too much for everyday use. So this is where tinted moisturisers and bb/cc/dd creams are a winner for me.

Green people's new DD moisturiser (daily defence) is an age defying tinted moisturiser aiming to give you a light coverage that reduces redness, colour matches and balances complexions without blocking your pores. It also provides protection from uv rays with natural UVA and UVB protection. What is amazing about it is that this is all done with 98% natural ingredients and is the first dd cream on the market to be certified organic.

So whilst being a bit of a novice when it comes to this sort of stuff I have to say I was really taken with it. As soon as you apply (a small amount) the fragrance of the natural Tiare Tahiti flower ingredient hits you as you smooth it into your skin. I tried two shades and being the pale fair skinned person that I am, the light was definitely for me! I found the coverage just enough, maybe sometimes having to use concealer for trouble areas. But what I really love is the glow it gives my skin. I've always gone for matte foundation, not wanting to have skin so shiny people can use my face as a mirror, so have not really ever discovered the benefits of having a little healthy glow added.

I was sent the cream for this review, but I really do love it so all opinions are genuine and 100% my own!
