Sunday adventures

Aaaand breathe...Yesterday was our first full day alone just the three of us. Since the beginning of December we've either had people visiting us at home or have been to stay with family every weekend, and as very lovely as it was to see all our loved ones and spend time together, its come as a welcome relief to just be on our own once more. I know in a week or two I will long for my family to be near once more, but it was a bit of a luxury to be able to leave the house and head out just as one little family.

After a slightly hungover (ahem) start to the day I dragged myself out of bed and we headed into the centre of Bristol to visit the museum. Theo mentioned it a few weeks ago, so we took the chance on this dreary Sunday afternoon. It was also the perfect opportunity to showcase and test out his new shoes.

Theo's been taking a lot more control of his clothes, and dare I say it 'style' lately so it was with great excitement that we accepted an offer from Clarks for Theo to choose his own pair of shoes. Clarks have identified five style trends for kids; preppy, practical, minimalist, expressive and cool, then designed a selection of boots that fit into those categories. I would say that we choose clothes for Theo that cross over quite a few of those styles, but I do love a classic British influence. Dungarees, duffel coats, boots and bobble hats.

Theo chose some Clarks originals desert boots which he dubbed his noisy shoes (v.2) that fit into the 'preppy' style. Together him and Rob now have matchy matchy desert boots, and I think they look pretty cute!

We spent a few hours looking around the museum, looking at the displays and talking about all the different stuffed animals! It was a lovely way to spend a quiet Sunday, just the three of us. Perfect!
