Words

In the last week or so I have noticed that Theo's speech and I guess minor motor skills have come along really well.

He is pointing at objects and saying 'uh' and 'oh' over and over. Whenever we say Alma (the cat's name) he repeats the sounds and the other day when we arrived at Wetherspoons he waved at some people with babies and said what sounded suspiciously like 'hiya' so much so that they responded with hiya back.

Most of the time he babbles dadada and when he's upset and whining for me he will say mumumuma, but I still don't 100% believe he is saying mumma and dadda just yet, or knows that those names mean us. But for now I'm really proud of him, and he just keeps on surprising me!

  1. Mersina says dada constantly and uses 'da' as some kind of word for everything. She said mama once when I left the room and she followed me. Never again though. It's so exciting :)

  2. Just think soon he'll be stringing whole sentences together and you won't believe there was a time when he couldn't talk! Must be a pretty amazing moment watching your baby learn to talk.

P.s thank you so much for your supportive comments on my posts, you've really been making me feel better already :)
